Well - I've now the new website sorted and found the login for it, so I can keep the diving schedule a bit more up to date!  As ever, if you have some specific dates in mind, give the Dive Centre a ring and find out exactly what's going on!  You can also contact us through Facebook!

This Weeks Dives:

Sunday 28th November - Exmouth Pier or Blenny Bay. High tide is at 10:42, so we'll be meeting in the Dive Centre at 9:30 to get all kitted up and ready. If the winds stay northerly, we should get some good viz of the Pier!

Thursday 2nd December - Afternoon dive off Blenny Bay. High tide is at 15:18, so we're planning to be getting in shortly after that. Meet at the dive centre at 14:30.

Saturday 4th December - Lanes Rock, Budleigh. We'll be heading over to Lanes Rock for about 14:00 for a nice gentle afternoon bimble! It will be getting dimpsey (see last week's email) towards the end of the dive, so a torch might advantageous!

Sunday 12th December - Diving somewhere!! We've got a Rescue course going on this weekend, so if you want to get an idea of what goes on and why people enjoy it so much, come along and join in. You may even find yourself being roped in as a stooge!! (Which is nearly as much fun as taking the course)

As a rule, we generally dive Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and occasionally other days during the week.  (Weather permitting!!!)  So, if you're planning a trip down this way, or are a local diver, call the Dive Centre - 01395 268090 - to see what we have planned.  We may even be able to coincide a boat trip with your time in Devon!  If you're into snorkelling, give us a call too!

Evening Dives:

If the weather is good, and the tides are right, we often arrange an evening dive at a local dive site, normally aiming to get in the water for around 18:00 - hence these range from proper night dives during the winter months, 'dimpsy' dives during spring and autumn, and pleasant late afternoon dives in the summer!

For most of these dives you will need a primary and backup torch, and ideally some mind of marker like the LED Wand on your pillar valve.

Boat Dives:

We have two dates booked with Discovery Divers at Fort Bovisand - both on Red Alert!  That's the big red one with the lift!!

Saturday 27th November - ropes off at 10am.  Possible sites are Elk, Persier, Glen Strathallan, East Rutts.  There are still spaces available, so contact us ASAP to book one!

Saturday 18th December 'Mince Pie' diving!! - ropes off at 10am.  Prizes for the best Fancy Dress, and an extra one if your outfit stays intact all day!!

Please note: every diver must have an SMB and know what to do with it!!  Also, a grab bag is required to store your mask, snorkel, fins, etc. tidily while travelling to and from the dive sites.

Fun Dives:

Remember, Club members are welcome to come along with us for a fun dive whenever we are diving! We will either buddy you up with another club member, or you will be able to tag along with a training group. We are happy to give site briefings and look after car keys, etc., however, please remember that the students are our primary concern!
