Emergency First Response

A course for divers and non-divers alike: covering the basic training in emergency care, first aid and CPR.  Come and learn how to handle both life-threatening and non-life threatening situations. You will perform CPR on Little Anne, and practice using an Automated External Defibrillator. We also go through bandaging, splinting and putting a sling on - how many uses can you think of for a triangular bandage? You get your very own First Aid reference manual and a card to prove that you are First Aid trained. As well as being a really good general First Aid course, this satisfies the requires for anyone who is, or wants to be, an HSE Appointed Person for First Aid at work.

£95.00: Includes certification card & manual

Rescue Diver

After Adventures in Diving you can move onto the Rescue Diver course where you will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively prevent and manage diving incidents.

Rescue training expands your knowledge of diving, increases your level of diving skill and makes you more aware of what's happening around you in the diving environment. Most importantly rescue training can help you save lives and increase diving safety by preparing you to respond properly to diving emergencies and near emergencies.

An efficient Rescue Diver will have their own diving equipment and be familiar with its use. Some of the activities on the course require you to kit up and perform tasks quickly, so familiarity is an advantage. If you do not have all your equipment you may hire it from us at a reduced rate for the duration of your course. You will also need to have a few other items, these include a pocket mask and we recommend you put together a small first aid kit consistent with the guidelines in the Rescue Diver manual.

To enroll on a Rescue Course you need to have completed a PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) First Aid Course. The EFR course covers the basic training in emergency medical care, first aid and CPR, covering diving and non-diving incidenrts. We normally run an EFR a few days before a Rescue course
